Strategic Planning

“I really appreciated Amanda's presentation style and her willingness to incorporate humor and personalized analogies. Having awareness of a strength-based model is such a great refresher and I would recommend this training to everyone. Thank you for such an enlightening experience!”

Does your organization need assistance mapping out innovative strategies to take your program to the next level? Amanda will provide a thorough assessment of your organization’s strengths, needs, and culture and help you develop a practical plan to help you meet your agency’s goals.

Child-specific Consultation

Is your agency finding barriers in implementing community-based plans for specific children and families? Perhaps the youth are in transition from congregate care to the community or are preparing to exit the foster care system. Perhaps they are struggling in the community and the existing resources seem ineffective. Amanda will help your staff and planning teams conceptualize and implement plans for them.

Service/Program Development

Amanda recognizes the link between the sufficiency and effectiveness of community-based services and outcomes for youth and families. Public and private agencies alike may benefit from the vision, creativity and practical knowledge Amanda can bring to this process. She will help you develop services that will maximize your agency’s resources and match the needs and culture of the community.

Training and Technical Assistance

Training helps give staff, multi-disciplinary teams, and even agency management the tools they need to enhance their service to families. Amanda is able to provide training and ongoing technical assistance in small or large groups as well as one-on-one, depending on the needs of your staff. Training may be offered in a relatively short amount of time or over several months. While Amanda will tailor training to your agency’s own areas of need, her interests and knowledge are most well developed in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive Services Act (Virginia only)
  • Creating and implementing service plans using Systems of Care principles*
  • Applying Systems of Care principles* to your agency’s operations
  • Transition planning
  • Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS)
  • Public-private partnerships

*Systems of Care principles include: Outcomes-driven, strengths-based, collaborative, cost-effective, community-based, family-driven, and culturally-competent.
